Building Raspberry Pi Nodebots

This is a talk I gave at JSinSA 2015.

There’s a number of JS libraries for robotics these days – I decided to look at one of them: Johnny-five.

For the most part, Johnny-five performed pretty well if you used very specific hardware known to work with Johhny-five, but if you stray away from the recommended hardware, you get a boatload of frustration.

This is a problem in a place like South Africa where getting specific hardware is difficult or expensive.

Personally, I’d rather stick to Python.
